Vice-Chair Scott Wilson says 'no excuse' for it not being installed outside The Hub
An Onchan Commissioner has apologised to residents after a social media post claimed a request for a bench near its offices hasn't been dealt with for 18 months.
Vice-Chair Scott Wilson says 'there's no excuse' for the delay and it should've been installed sooner - but has confirmed with the chief executive that it will be done 'very soon'.
The Facebook post claims to have requested a bench for The Rec (a grass area by The Hub), as the only other seats are inside the children's play area which is inaccessible for people with dogs.
Dr Wilson adds that a review into the local authority's stock of benches, the perceived lack of them and where new ones could be situated will need to take place.
