If Onchan needs a by-election it will take place on June 14.
It's been announced nominations for the vacant seat on the district commissioners have to be in by a week tomorrow - May 17.
Only six candidates came forward to contest seven seats for last month’s election, leaving a vacancy on the board.
The successful candidate will serve a term until April 2016.
