Omicron: Ministers to review response after possible cases found

'Considered decision' needed, says Cannan

Ministers will meet on Monday to review the Island's response to the Omicron variant of Covid-19, after two possible cases were identified today.

The cases were picked up at the Noble's Hospital lab, and have been sent to the UK to confirm whether or not they are the variant of concern.

Measures such as mandatory mask wearing on public transport and tests for travellers at the border were introduced in November in light of Omicron - a response that, as yet, remains unchanged.
