Business touting in Onchan
Illegal cold calling from an address in Onchan has prompted a warning from The Office of Fair Trading.
It's receiving reports of people using the method to tout for business.
On 5 June this year, it became an offense to contact prospective customers in this way - the OFT says anyone doing it should stop immediately.
People receiving calls are asked to reject advances, as goods can't be guaranteed.
The OFT also asks that recipients provide the OFT with details of the individuals and their offer of services.
