Follows 'complaints' and 'legislative developments'
The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has confirmed it is to investigate the possible regulation of the Island's funeral directors.
It says it is to engage in a regulatory compliance consultation, with plans to monitor various sectors based on complaints, legislative developments, emerging trends and regulatory best practice.
At the conclusion of the consultation period, considerations will be given to any further action required.
OFT Chairman Tim Glover says funeral directors will now be written to and then visited by officers:
