
Prices may be rising, but the Office of Fair Trading says Manx Gas is acting responsibly.
It was announced on Tuesday gas prices would be increasing by 2.9% per unit as of September 12.
On average, that means more than £20 extra - per year, per user.
The move is being blamed on mild weather, but is predicted to keep the company’s profits within the acceptable returns range established by a 2008 report.
