Corporatisation would be unfair, says chair
The Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading says corporatising the Isle of Man Post Office could create an unfair advantage - a view at odds with an independent report.
Recommendations to transform the statutory board into a limited company were voted down by Tynwald last month.
Report author Elmar Toime said a new commercial structure would spark growth and healthy competition, and the OFT could monitor its role in the private sector.
But Chairman David Quirk MHK believes that wouldn't be the case:
