A Facebook page claiming a new multiplex cinema is on its way to the Isle of Man has fooled more than a thousand people.
Set up last night, the Odeon Isle of Man page says the chain is planning a new cinema on Queen’s Promenade in Douglas.
1,400 people had liked the page in less than 24 hours, with many comments calling for it to be built immediately.
However, a spokesman for Odeon Cinemas says the page is in fact a hoax.
