Collaborative approach 'exceptionally successful' says minister
Mental health nurses are continuing to work with police during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
The health minister has described the partnership – which sees nurses stationed at Police Headquarters - as ‘exceptionally successful’.
In the first 18 days of the current lockdown officers received 16 calls related to mental health issues with 11 people making threats of suicide.
