Fire crews find failed drive belt to be cause
A number patients in Noble's Hospital were evacuated earlier this afternoon after reports of a burning smell on Ward 8.
Isle of Man Fire and Rescue attended the scene at 4:20pm and found staff had already moved patients out of the facility.
Checks carried out by emergency crews found the cause to be a failed drive belt on a ventilation unit.
Fire Services remained at the scene for a further fifteen minutes to assist with ventilation.
