Parts of the facility to shut as investigation is underway
A small fire has seriously damaged the male gym changing rooms at the National Sports Centre in Douglas, leading to the closure of the facility.
The centre was evacuated and shut this evening with a full investigation now underway.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
The pools will reopen as normal tomorrow (8 March) but the sports halls, squash, bowls hall and fitness zone will all remain closed until a decision is made.
