Alarm triggered due to heavy rain and river levels
The National Sports Centre buildings have been forced to close this morning.
It's so that flood defences can be put in place following heavy rain overnight and the rising water level of the river.
It says the NSC flood alarm has been triggered and staff are following the flood defence procedure put in place following the flood in 2015 to ensure staff, customers and the building are protected from any risk.
It adds: customers will be updated as soon as the site can open again. Refunds for sessions booked, classes and activities will be sorted as soon as possible.
