Ramsey Commissioners are to become the first local authority in the Isle of Man to install outdoor exercise equipment for adults.
The board has ordered a range of units, designed for adults and young people aged 12 and over, which will be installed in Mooragh Park.
The commissioners hope to build on the success of the Manx Sports and Recreation 'walk and talk' programme in the park, and complement the DHSS's consultation paper on a physical activity framework for the Island.
Provision for the £30,000 supply and installation cost was made in the 2009/2010 budget earlier this year.
