The television deal for this year's TT will see wider coverage on ITV, more on-board cameras and tie-ins with major broadcasters overseas.
Details of coverage for 2009 have just been announced by North One Television, who have production rights for the event until 2013.
The company plans eleven one-hour programmes, including a preview and seven Race Week Shows, to be screened on ITV 4. There will also be two highlights programmes for broadcast on the ITV1 network.
Spain, Italy, Australia, Brazil and the United States have signed deals and, for the first time, the action will be shot in high definition.
