The Isle of Man's highest cultural award is given annually for a significant contribution to Manx culture
Islanders are being invited to help choose this year’s Manx cultural hero.
Culture Vannin has opened nominations for the Reih Bleeaney Vanannan award - Manannan’s Choice of the Year.
The annual honour recognises individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to Manx culture with the aim of reflecting the spirit of Manannan, the patron of Manx culture and heritage.
Anyone can submit a nomination for an individual or a group; it’s a straightforward process, you just need to complete a short nomination form and give a written explanation of why your chosen person deserves the recognition.
Nominations should highlight voluntary contributions to culture, rather than work carried out in paid employment.
Last year’s RBV was awarded to Annie Kissack for her exceptional contribution to Manx language, music, song, folklore and poetry.
Nominations are open until 12 noon on Tuesday 2 December 2025 and you can find out more on the Culture Vannin website.
