Nominations open for 2026 King’s Award for Voluntary Service

Winners will be announced in November

Nominations have officially opened for the 2026 King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour given to volunteer groups across the British Isles. 

Often described as the group equivalent of an MBE, the award recognises exceptional contributions made by volunteers to their local communities.

The nomination period runs from 1 September to 1 December 2025, with the winners set to be announced in November 2026.

Government House is encouraging Isle of Man residents to consider nominating local voluntary organisations whose work has made a meaningful impact.

Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer says: “The Isle of Man is fortunate to have a vibrant voluntary sector which makes a real difference to people’s lives. 

"The King’s Award for Voluntary Service is a wonderful way to celebrate and honour the contribution of local groups. I encourage anyone who knows of a deserving organisation to consider putting them forward for this prestigious recognition.”
