David Ashford insists DHSC is to continue paying for buses and taxis
Free use of public transport and taxi transfers for Manx patients attending hospital appointments off Island is not changing.
That's the message from Health Minister David Ashford following speculation over the future of the service from a caller on Manx Radio's Mannin Line.
Those heading across for treatment can use Bus Vannin services on the Island, while a taxi provider in England has a contract with the Department of Health and Social Care.
Responding live to the rumour, Mr Ashford insists there are no plans to start charging patients for transport:
