
Hands off Howstrake – that’s the message from the chairman of Onchan Commissioners.
Rob Callister says the latest idea to slice off part of the village to create 12, two-seat Keys constituencies with 7,000 people will destroy the community.
The board has written to MHKs asking them to reject the idea of putting Howstrake in an “East” constituency when Tynwald considers a report later this month.
Speaking on Manx Radio this morning, Mr Callister says Onchan is in danger of being broken apart because it’s grown so large:
