Caine confirms it will be part of wider 'inclusive' education policy
Schools on the Isle of Man will not be getting a standalone literacy strategy.
The education, sport and culture minister says it will be part of a wider ‘inclusive’ education policy instead.
Daphne Caine was asked to provide an update to the House of Keys in the last sitting before the summer recess by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
She said, whilst her department acknowledges the 'fundamental role' literacy plays in learning development, it will be included in a bigger piece of work:
