The director of public transport is playing down reports elsewhere in the Manx media of new buses being taken off the roads.
Ian Longworth says the transport section of the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is in the process of introducing Streetlite buses into service on rural routes, and has been testing them in Douglas.
A bus firm in Wales did have an problem with one of its models on Friday, when a bolt in the steering mechanism broke.
The buses here were checked this morning (Tuesday), before being sent out on the Island's roads again.
Mr Longworth says Bus Vannin will continue to monitor the situation, but is assuring the Manx public there is absolutely no problem with any of the Streetlite models here.
