Government has no plans to introduce a plastic bottle returns scheme says the environment minister.
In a response to a question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse, Geoffrey Boot said it would be more practical for the Island to 'piggyback' any scheme that comes forward in the UK than establish its own.
He suggested that a bottles return scheme may undermine the role of the energy from waste plant:-
