Supplies will arrive 27 Dec and 2 Jan instead
There'll be no newspapers on the Isle of Man on Boxing Day or New Year's Day as the Ben-my-Chree is not scheduled to sail.
An aircraft was pre-booked to carry supplies of newspapers to the Island, however airport authorities have taken the decision to add charges on the airline, as no other flights are due to arrive at Ronaldsway on those dates.
The Newspaper Publishers Association, which pays the freight costs to the Island, says the extra charges make flying the papers in unviable.
Supplies will be arriving the following day on 27 December and 2 January.
