The closure of the Mountain Road this evening (Thursday) has been cancelled.
It had been due to close between Ramsey Hairpin and Creg-ny-Baa, from 6.30pm to 9pm, for preparation work ahead of the Manx Grand Prix.
The same stretch is due to be cordoned off between those times, and between 9.30am and 4.30pm, tomorrow and on Saturday.
Motorists are being urged to watch out for advance warning signs and temporary speed limits when the road is open.
The first practice session for the Manx Grand Prix is on Saturday, August 20, and the event runs for a fortnight.
