Global shortage of two key treatments
Manx Care says there’s 'no immediate threat' to stroke patients, and those with heart conditions, due to a global shortage of two key treatments.
The Isle of Man, along with UK NHS trusts, is being asked to conserve supplies of two drugs - Alteplase and Tenecteplase - due to manufacturer issues.
The shortage is expected to last until early next year and hospitals are being asked to provide alternative treatments where appropriate.
