Climate roadmap used as guide instead
Manx Utilities have not received guidance from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture regarding its energy policy in the last five years.
In lieu of guidance, it has had to look to the Island's climate targets to formulate its business model.
That's according to the body's chair, MHK Tim Johnston, who was giving evidence to the Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee this week.
He says some guidance has been provided from other departments, such as the Cabinet Office:
