
This year's Peel Bay Festival was the first and will also have been the last, after the event's promoter has pulled the plug.
Jonathan Irving says he came to the decision after listening to Tuesday night's Tynwald debate about the festival's future.
He feels the politicians whose backing is crucial to any future event, Chief Minister Tony Brown and especially DTL Minister Adrian Earnshaw, have shown little enthusiasm for it.
