Chief Minister adds government won't play 'active function' in assessing impact or costs
No evaluation or comparison of a UK bill to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales has been undertaken by the Isle of Man Government.
MPs there voted in favour of introducing it in November but proposed legislation will face further scrutiny in the House of Commons and House of Lords.

The Isle of Man’s Assisted Dying Bill is currently with the Legislative Council; it will reach the clauses stage on Tuesday (17 December).
In Tynwald this week Chief Minister Alfred Cannan said government would not play an ‘active function’ in assessing its potential impact, or costs, until it has been passed through Tynwald:
