But Public Health defends stricter rules
None of the Covid-19 cases on the Isle of Man can be directly linked to pet travel.
That’s according to the director of public health - despite this stricter rules have now been brought in around animal transportation.
Pets which travel to the Island must complete self-isolation with the person they travel with and cannot be exchanged even if it’s in a socially distanced manner.
Dr Henrietta Ewart says she believes the guidelines are now clear:
