No change to rating system yet
The Manx Labour Party says it’s disappointed to hear the Island’s domestic rating system won’t change before next year’s general election.
Party chairman David Cretney MLC says the Treasury Minister Eddie Teare informed the organisation there simply won’t be enough time.
Last year, Tynwald approved revaluing every property on the Island by February – amid warnings from ministers the timetable would be tough to meet.
Mr Cretney says he’s disappointed the will of the court hasn’t been enacted:
Ramsey Swing Bridge 'a key line' for businesses
Protecting farmers from impact of climate change 'a no brainer'
Dogs to be allowed on Douglas Beach year-round as part of council trial
Manx language choir to perform at Royal Irish Academy
