Follows claims of new restrictions for foot passengers
The Steam Packet Company says there has been no change to its luggage policy for foot passengers.
It follows claims online that new restrictions have been introduced on the amount of hand baggage that can be taken on board.
The ferry operator insists that's not the case and foot passengers can still check in as much luggage as they wish, free of charge.
That's as long as each individual item weighs no more than 23kg and they are able to carry their own luggage to and from the carousels.
Backpacks and handbags can continue to be taken onboard, as long as they can be carried safely and do not cause any obstructions.
The company does say, however, that as it enters its busiest period of the year, it will be applying its existing luggage arrangements more consistently to help ensure a safe, comfortable and accessible environment for everyone onboard.
