Gary Clueit hoping to provide 'scrutiny and oversight'
A ninth candidate has been nominated for a place on the Legislative Council.
Gary Clueit has been put forward by Douglas East MHK Clare Barber and seconded by fellow Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher.
Mr Clueit holds multiple directorship positions across sectors ranging from property development to sustainable agriculture.
He's also president of The Clueit Foundation which provides scholarships to females in sub-Saharan Africa.
Voluntary roles he's carried out include the Isle of Man Beekeepers Federation, the Manx Labour Party and Isle of Man Green Party as chair of executive committee's responsible for coordinating development of respective party policies.
LegCo nominations are set to close on 24 February.
