Four appear before High Bailiff
A court’s heard a total of nine men are now facing charges over a mass brawl in Douglas involving weapons.
Sean Patrick Wiseman of Barrule Drive in Onchan, Anthony Kevin Wiseman of Newtown in Santon, Kyle Molyneux of the Larivane Estate in Andreas and Nathanial Gilbert of Ashbourne Avenue in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
All are facing a joint affray charge, and Kyle Molyneux faces an allegation of possessing an offensive weapon while Anthony Wiseman faces two such allegations.
The court heard police had been called to Marathon Road in Douglas after passers-by reported a huge fight between a group of men at around 6pm on 21 February.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the hearing a total of nine men had now been charged with offences relating to the incident, which she said involved large-scale disorder in front of terrified onlookers.
All four defence advocates made a bail application on behalf of their clients.
Thirty-four-year-old Sean Wiseman and 23-year-old Mr Gilbert were bailed in the sum of £500 on condition they live at their home addresses, don’t contact witnesses or associate with co-defendants and observe a curfew from 10pm to 6am.
Both will appear in court again on 28 April for committal proceedings to the court of General Gaol Delivery.
Twenty-one-year-old Anthony Wiseman and 24-year-old Mr Molyneux were remanded in custody and will next appear on 31 March.
