Project recommended for refusal
Redevelopment plans for a registered building on North Quay in Douglas will go before the planning committee on Monday.
Developers wish to demolish the former Newsons site - a warehouse dating back to 1786 - to create 10 apartments and three bar/restaurant units.
The project would mark an investment of around £8 million - the Department for Enterprise and Douglas Borough Council have both supported it.
However objections to the applications have also been made by a number of parties.
The plans have been recommended for refusal.
