A new book is hoping to lift the lid on the secret history of Manx cats.
Children are being offered the chance to explain how the cats lost their tails, and the winning story will be published in "A De-Tailed Account of Manx Cats" when it’s published later this year.
The collection is being published by Loaghtan Books, which has plenty of stories about fairies and folklore but nothing on the Island’s distinctive moggies.
Sara Goodwins of Loaghtan Books says she’s hoping to hear some tall tales from youngsters.
