People are being urged to contribute to a new research study which aims to improve accessibility to mental health services on the Isle of Man.
It’s looking at perceived barriers which deter people who identify as male from accessing psychological therapies and how the services offered can be amended to address this.
The study is being run by Assistant Clinical Psychologist Ciara Whelan who works within Manx Care’s community wellbeing service.
She said: "If we are able to better understand what deters males from accessing psychological support, we can take a more targeted approach to updating our services.
"I hope we can use the results of this study to encourage more males to reach out for mental health support if/when required."
People who identify as male, who are Manx residents, and who are aged 18 and over can take part – you can find the link HERE.
