People with impaired mobility offered more help ahead of festive season
People with impaired mobility are being offered support to enable them to do their Christmas shopping and enjoy the festivities.
CIRCA Isle of Man has launched a new ‘Shopmobility Buddies’ scheme ahead of late-night shopping starting in Douglas tomorrow (21 November).
The charity routinely lends out mobility scooters and wheelchairs, as well as other equipment, to make people’s lives easier.
Centre Manager Heather Williams told Manx Radio she hopes this extra step will give people more confidence and independence:
