Sports club submits planning application
Another Island club is looking to provide accommodation for road racing fans during the Island's three international race meetings.
Ronaldsway Sports and Social Club, opposite the airport, has submitted a planning application to use its playing fields as a campsite for the TT, Southern 100 and Festival of Motorcycling.
The application appears to show around 150 tents, adding that marquees, and portable toilets and showers would also be installed on the site.
Ever-popular with visiting fans, a number of sports clubs in the Isle of Man already provide such accommodation, using it as a significant source of income.
