The new Northern Civic Amenity site officially opened today (Friday).
The site, at Balladoole near Ramsey, was declared open by Graham Cregeen MHK, before an audience which included Chief Minister Allan Bell, commissioners from the north of the Island and officials.
The new facility aims to offer more, and easier, ways to recycle materials, and has the potential for future expansion.
Mr Gregeen says there are many improvements on the previous facility in the north (listen to audio file below):
