'Safe pair of hands' needed
The new chairman of Port St Mary Commissioners has denied uncertainty at the top is detracting from other political issues.
Laurence Vaughan-Williams took up the post this week, following a vote of no confidence in former leader Alan Grace.
It is not currently known why Mr Grace's position was considered untenable.
Mr Vaughan-Williams, who has only been a commissioner for six months, believes being a relative newcomer will allow him to survey the situation with added clarity.
