The new principal of the University College Isle of Man (UCM) says her educational philosophy fits well with Island.
Jo Pretty, who has extensive experience in the education sector across the UK, has just arrived to the Island to fill the post.
She wants to see 'equality of opportunity for all' at the college whilst training students for jobs both locally and abroad.
Meeting the skills needs of Manx employers is another priority.
