
A move to make the planning system more open to those who make and oppose applications has been broadly welcomed by the positive Action Group.
Those wishing to address the committee at meetings will be able to do so under a year-long trial by the Department of Infrastructure.
Roger Tomlinson of PAG says it’s a step in the right direction, although UK authorities have been allowing people similar rights for years.
