Government spokesperson settles concerns from listener
Newly issued Manx passports bearing references to our last monarch are still 'perfectly legal and valid', a government spokesperson has confirmed.
Concerns were raised to Manx Radio last week by a listener who had received their renewed passport, issued on 30 January this year.
However, despite the death of Queen Elizabeth II occurring in September 2022, it was still issued under her name.
We're told this is simply as existing stock is still to be used up before new passports are produced.
