The new director of Manx National Heritage is ready to take up the position next month.
Edmund Southworth has been the director of the Lancashire County Museum Service, which put him in charge of 14 museum and heritage sites, with over 240,000 visitors a year.
He will start his new job in the middle of August, taking over from the long-serving Stephen Harrison, who was recently appointed the Island's cultural ambassador.
Mr Harrison was with MNH for 27 years, during which it won a number of international awards for its 'Story of Mann' sites.
