The successor to Manx Gas managing director Alan Bates is set to be announced later this week.
Mr Bates stepped down on Friday, leaving the Island to become the new MD of Guernsey Electricity.
He told Marian Kenny in his five years in the position the company did its best to repair its relationship with the Manx public.
