
Twenty-four hours after finding out he was on the move, the new Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle has been assessing the challenges posed by his new portfolio.
He and Adrian Earnshaw have swapped briefs. It came as a suprise to the Island and seemingly, by their own admission, to the two MHKs themselves.
Mr Quayle says he is looking forward to being back on familiar ground and to what lies ahead (audio file attached):
An immediate problem for Mr Quayle will be the position of Chief Executive. Carol Glover has been off sick for a month. She is due back tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Director of Tourism Geoff le Page is also off on sick leave.
