Thirteen-month transition period ends
New regulations governing heavy goods vehicles in the Isle of Man officially come into force today.
A 13-month transitional period known as the operator registration phase finished yesterday.
During that time, HGV operators were able to register their vehicles with the Road Transport Licensing Committee.
Brendan O'Friel is chair of the RTLC.
He says it's been a positive process for all involved:
Immigration changes designed to stop exploitation by 'bad eggs'
Plantation wood, telegraph poles and Satnav to be discussed in the House of Keys
Contingency budget for horse tram tracks 'significantly increased'
