A new group representing the Island's gay community says its membership is growing by the day.
The Rainbow Foundation says promoting the safe sex message and combating homophobia are its top priorities.
It will also campaign for equal rights for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and trans-gender people and counsel youngsters who want to come out.
The Foundation which is applying for charitable status, says the current membership of 150 is growing rapidly.
Yesterday the group's chief executive Lee Clarke met chief minister Allan Bell who offered support for the group's aims.
Mr Clarke says the Rainbow Foundation wants to be the voice for a community which in the past has been afraid to speak-up:
