Schiller compression device donated by Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust
A charity has donated a piece of equipment to the Island's air ambulance team to help treat patients during a cardiac arrest.
The Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust funded the Schiller automated compression device, which provides continuous chest compression and frees up staff to concentrate on defibrillating the patient.
The item is also lighter and less bulky than a previous piece of equipment which was harder for a lone member of staff to fit to an unconscious patient.
The head of the Isle of Man Air Ambulance Service says it's an exciting development that will enhance care while transporting patients.
