The new Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys says he's honoured to have been elected to the role.
Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer this week received 12 votes out of a possible 23 and will now succeed Geoff Corkish following his elevation to the Legislative Council.
Mr Singer says he’s encouraged to be endorsed by political colleagues.
