Cabinet Office hope to have it rolled out for local elections next year
A new voting count system was introduced at the Port St Mary Commissioner's by-election this week.
It's called a 'kangaroo' - the papers are layered in between a piece of clear plastic, votes are counted in a row and tallied at the end of the board.
